Hastings Mayor Challenges Children To Get Creative For Christmas

The Mayor of Hastings, Cllr Margi O'Callaghan, is calling for the town’s creative children to get their pens, paints and artistic skills out to design a Christmas card for this year.

Whether you want to paint seagulls wearing Father Christmas hats, draw tinsel decorating the fishermen’s huts, or colour a park filled with snowmen she would love to see your best work.

The designs will be judged by Cllr O’Callaghan and her daughter, Beth O’Callaghan, and the winning design will be reproduced onto an e-card for the council to send out to partners and colleagues. It will also be shared on the council’s social media channels.

Cllr O’Callaghan said:

“I know we have some really creative children in our town and I can’t wait to see the designs they come up with for our Christmas card, the quirkier the better!”

Terms and Conditions:

Designs should be emailed to communications@hastings.gov.uk. Include the child's name and age in the email.

Send photos as jpg images and at high resolution. Square images will work best for a e-card. Deadline for submission of mages is 5pm on Monday, November 27.

The winner will be notified by email to the email address the image was sent from.
