The minister of Halton Baptist Church says he's opening up the church to the community 'for anyone to drop in and spend time in a safe, welcoming and warm space'.
If you've been unable to afford to use your heating and you need some respite, the minister is inviting people to come in every Wednesday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm for soup, hot and cold drinks and toast and jam.
He adds that there are board games, books free wi-fi and charging and that 'people are welcome to come and chat, bring something to do, or just sit and enjoy the company'.
"We're also available for prayer if anyone would like that."
Minister Simon Evans-White said it is part of his commitment to serving the community and would like as many people in the community to come and make use of the space.
There's no charge at all and no need to pre-book - just turn up.
