Police have made an arrest following reports a man entered an Esso Service Station in Hastings, robbing it at gunpoint and making off with cigarettes and alcohol.
It happened at the garage in Bohemia Road at around 5.15am on Sunday (Oct 24) - no one was injured.
On Sunday evening, officers arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. He remains in police custody.
A firearm was found during a subsequent search of an address in the town, and has been seized.
