In Hastings this morning (October 8), two people were taken to hospital in a serious condition after being pulled from the sea.
Emergency services attended East Beach Street at around 11.20am, after the casualties, both men, were removed from the water near Rock-a-Nore Road.
Crews who arrived included SECAmb staff and the air ambulance service, whose members attended in one of their road vehicles.
The two men were given emergency treatment at the scene before paramedics took them to The Conquest hospital.
There were no suspicious circumstances and no further information is being provided to the media at this time.
