Homeless Man Attacked While He Slept On Crawley Street

The attacker's face cannot be seen in the image but he had distinctive trainers and a bag.

Police in Crawley are searching for a man who viciously attacked a homeless man while he slept.

The 49-year-old was sleeping on the street in Haslett Avenue when he was approached by a man who urinated next to him. 

When he objected, the man then urinated on his bedding and viciously kicked him in the face.

The incident happened at 1.30am on Monday, June 21st.

In the early hours of Monday morning the suspect approached the 49-year-old homeless man in Haslett Avenue, urinating on bis bedding and violently kicking him in the face.

The suspect is described as black, with dreadlocks, carrying a manbag with a white stripe, and wearing pale blue jeans with badges on it.

He was with a group of three other people.

PC Ben Harman said: 

"This was a vicious and unprovoked attack on a vulnerable man, and although the image is not of good quality, we are sure there are local people who can help us name this suspect.

"If you can help, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 895 of 21/06."
