Hundreds of properties are still without water and power six days after Storm Eunice hit the south coast last Friday (Feb 18).
Three schools in East Sussex have announced closures so far this morning, with more expected after South East Water and UK Power Networks announced they still had not managed to restore services to the area.
UK Power Networks say power may not be restored until tomorrow night (Feb 25).
South East Water posted this on their website yesterday evening, with details of bottled water stations, which are expected to reopen at 9am this morning:
Meanwhile, these schools have so far announced closures / partial closures:
- St Michael's Church of England Primary School, Playden - closed today due to no power.
- Bodiam Church of England Primary School - closed today due to no power.
- St Richard's Catholic College, Bexhill-on-sea is partly closed "only Years 7 and 11 will attend school today.Years 8,9 and 10 will be taught remotely via Google Classroom. Options Evening for Year 9 and their parents and carers will go ahead this evening.
- Netherfield Church of England Primary School - closed due to no water.
