Half-hour “housing surgeries” are starting next month to give council tenants and leaseholders time to share their concerns about maintenance, repairs and tenancy services.
The sessions will occur before Brighton and Hove City Council’s housing area panels when tenants and leaseholders discuss broader housing issues with councillors and officers.
Papers released before the December panels explain that the drop-in sessions are to give anyone time to discuss their problems.
The move will help the panel meeting focus on specific topics on the agenda.
The drop-ins are timed to start 30 minutes before the housing area panels in the same room as the meeting.
Drop-in sessions are:
North area: Monday, December 4 at 1.30pm at Housing Centre, Conference Room, Eastergate Road, Moulsecoomb.
East area: Tuesday, December 5 at 6pm at Bristol Estate Community Room, 146a Donald Hall Road, Brighton.
Central area: Tuesday, December 12 at 1.30pm at Brighton Town Hall, Bartholomews.
West Hove and Portslade area: Wednesday, December 13 at 6pm at Hove Town Hall in Norton Road.
