Identity Appeal After Homophobic Assault On Two Women In East Grinstead

There's an investigation after a man verbally abused and assaulted two women during an incident in East Grinstead.

It happened near to Kings Street car park at around 2.30am on Sunday, August 21.

The victims were walking along London Road when the man began verbally abusing them.

After challenging him, the man punched one of the women twice in the face and he pushed the other woman in the face, causing a minor injury

The man police would like to speak with in connection with this incident is described as white, skinny and approximately 6’ tall.

He has dark short hair and was wearing grey jogging bottoms with a black zip, a black t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

Detective Constable James Butcher said:

“We are urging anyone who recognises this man to contact us as we believe he can assist us with our investigation. This was a nasty experience for both the victims and want anyone with information to speak with us.”
