An illegal, and large, meeting of mostly young car enthusiasts who'd travelled to a location in Crawley was broken up last night (Sunday December 20), according to police.
Around 100 vehicles had been driven there for a so-called "Car Cruise".
Officers at the scene believed most participants had travelled from areas in Tier 4 of coronavirus restrictions.
One Sussex Police constable said on social media, soon after 9.30pm on Sunday evening, that many penalties related to breaking Covid-19 isolation rules had been imposed.
The county's police service has been approached for further details.
