Joint Funeral Takes Place For Murdered Newhaven Couple

A funeral has taken place this afternoon for murdered Newhaven couple Chloe (30) and Josh Bashford (33).

Police were called to the house of the married couple in Lewes Road on June 9, where their bodies were discovered.

Derek Martin, also known as Derek Glenn, 64, of Moulsecoomb Way, Brighton, has been charged with two counts of murder.

He remains remanded in custody and is next scheduled to appear in court on August 3.
