Knifepoint Robbery At Eastbourne Convenience Shop

A man threatened staff at the Apex Convenience Store in Station Parade last night (April 20.)

At 5.13pm a man entered the shop in Eastbourne town centre, armed with a large knife. He threatened the store owner and demanded money before stealing the till and its contents from the counter. 

The man is described as 5’8” to 5’10” wearing blue trousers, a black hooded top with white strings and a full face balaclava.

He fled the store on foot, heading towards The Avenue and Upperton Gardens. 

Detective Constable Jo Lane said;

"If you saw this man or have any other information that would help, especially if you have any dashcam footage or CCTV, please contact us at Eastbourne CID either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1118 of 20/04."
