Spanish fans are welcome to the final fan party in Brighton's Victoria Gardens tomorrow (Wednesday 20th) as England's Lionesses take on La Roja in the quarter finals at the Amex Stadium.
The free, family friendly event has welcomed thousands of fans since the tournament started, with fans from Norway and Austria gathering before previous matches before heading to the games at Brighton & Hove Community Stadium.
Fan parties are being held in all the nine host cities for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022
Brighton & Hove’s Fan Party offers live music and entertainment from local bands, a pop-up football pitch for coaching sessions, a chance to meet the mascots, giant deckchair and food and drink, along with football themed activities and face painting provided by tournament sponsor Starling Bank.
Fans can also visit the nearby ‘Goal Power’ exhibition of the History of Women’s Football at the nearby Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.
Councillor Martin Osborne, joint chair of the council’s Tourism, Equalities, Communities and Culture Committee said:
“It's been wonderful to see residents and their families joining in the celebrations alongside football fans from Austria and Norway and we look forward to welcoming Spanish fans tomorrow.
"The Fan Party also provides opportunities for women of all ages to find out how they can get involved in the beautiful game here in Sussex so the legacy of the UEFA Women's EURO lives on.”
