Max Brandrett has gone viral in a new documentary released by Vice.
The Brighton-born artist, now in his 70s, has been in and out of the limelight - and jail - over the years for forging great works of art, such as Clarkson Stanton's Dover shipping scene which he reportedly sold to a private buyer in Birmingham for £12,000.
The 'Barnardo's boy' said he was also once asked to paint a portrait for the Kray twins' mother.
Now, he spends his days in a flat in Burgess Hill painting legal copies of artwork by changing a simple detail.
More Radio caught up with him to talk about how he found himself in his line of work, and what he's up to these days.
