A man who had agreed to buy a phone from a seller on Gumtree has stolen both the seller's phones in a reported robbery at gunpoint in Littlehampton.
It happened at around 7.30pm on Sunday of last week (Nov 21).
The victim had parked in Rosemead and waited for the man who had agreed to buy a phone from him that he'd listed for sale on Gumtree.
When the suspect arrived he got into the victim's car, pulling out was was described as a gun and demanding the victim to hand over the phone that was for sale along with his other phone.
He pointed the gun at the victim and said “this is your payment”. The suspect then ran from the car towards Horsham Road.
He is described as white, aged 30-35, about 6’, of slim build, with a dark brown beard and moustache. He was wearing a brown or green rain jacket with the hood up.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who may have captured any relevant footage on dash cam or CCTV, is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1198 of 21/11.
