Locally Loved Beer Clinches Gold In National Awards

Harvey's Dark Mild beer has won a gold award at the esteemed Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Champion Beer of Britain competition.

The beer, which has been in production since 1947, took home the prize in the Mild category.

It stood out among a strong field of contenders, impressing judges with its rich flavours, balanced profile, and dedication to upholding the Mild beer style.

The CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain competition is a highly competitive event that spotlights the finest brews across various categories throughout the UK.

Brewery officials said the beer won the award due to its lustrous mahogany appearance and roasted malt character, offering an 'enchanting' drinking experience for the beer and ale lover.

Miles Jenner, head brewer, said:

"We are absolutely delighted and honoured that our Dark Mild has been awarded the gold in the Mild category by CAMRA. This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to crafting consistent high-quality, delicious beers.

"We're excited to see the classic style gaining traction among newer drinkers, and this award further fuels our passion to keep pushing the boundaries of tradition."
