There has been a significant fall of chalk rock to the east of Peacehaven.
Lewes District Council reported the discovery early yesterday (October 6).
The fall is close to Friars Bay, and has caused added danger both to walkers on the cliff-top path and on the shoreline below.
Local authority officials advise staying away from the cliff edge and the area below the cliff.
They added that the cliff edge is now closer to the footpath west of Nore Point, and requested all walkers to move inland when using the route.
