Man and woman arrested after two teenagers are attacked with a knife and baseball bat in Hailsham

Police have arrested two people in connection with a group attack on two teenage boys in Hailsham yesterday (November, 19). Officers said the 16-year-old and 17-year-old boy were with their friends when they were approached by a group of older men and women in Halley Park on the Town Farm estate at around 8pm. The boys were attacked by the the group with a knife, and a baseball bat, according to the force. The younger boy suffered two minor stab wounds, and the older boy sustained a head injury. Both were taken to hospital, but neither were deemed to have suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries, police said. A 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Hailsham, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both have been released under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting serial 1402 of 19/11.
