Two people are in hospital, one with 'potentially life-threatening' injuries, after a car struck two pedestrians in Battle. Emergency services were called to the A2100 Battle Hill at 8.45pm on Friday (December, 20), following reports of a collision between the pedestrians and a black Ford Kuga. Police said a 59-year-old local woman was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with 'potentially life-threatening' injuries, and remains in a critical condition. A 63-year-old local man was also taken to the same hospital, where officers said he remains in a serious but stable condition. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting Operation Hadfield.
