Man and woman wanted in connection with assaults during vegan protests in Brighton

Police want to speak to two people in connection with two assaults, which happened during vegan protests at two restaurants in Brighton. Officers said protesters went into The Opposition Cafe in Market Street on Sunday, September 29, around 7.15pm, and, during an altercation with staff and customers, a member of staff reported being punched in the face by a woman. Police are also looking into a report the same woman was punched herself by another man at an earlier protest at Pizza Express in Royal Albert Street about 6.15pm. The force has now released images of a man and woman they would like to talk to in connection with the two incidents. The woman has white/blond curly hair and was wearing a dark headband and a dark coloured coat. The man has been described as bald and was wearing a dark green/brown coloured shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 1187 of 29/09.
