Man arrested after two seriously injured in Robertsbridge 'hit and run'

A man has been arrested after two people were seriously injured in a collision in Robertsbridge. Police said they were called to a two car collision on the A21 in Mountfield, at around 6pm on Saturday (April, 25). The driver of a Ford KA was airlifted to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition. A passenger of a Vauxhall Astra was also taken to hospital with multiple serious injuries. Officers said a 20-year-old man was detained in Kent yesterday (April, 26) morning, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and failing to report a road traffic collision. He remains in custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting Operation Maycroft.
