A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a woman in Worthing after a Christmas night out. Police said the 31-year-old victim was at a work party in Brighton on Friday, December 20, when her friends arranged for a taxi to take her home, due to her level of intoxication. The victim was then taken home to Worthing, where it is alleged the driver followed her into her flat and raped her. A 37-year-old man remains in custody at this time after being arrested on suspicion of rape. Police said the victim is continuing to be supported by specially trained officers.
