
A man has been arrested at The Level in Brighton for possession of an imitation firearm.
It happened on January 12th at around 1.40pm.
The man was arrested 20 minutes later in Lewes Road and a BB gun was seized.
Jeremiah Mensah, 22, of no fixed address, was charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear, and possession of cannabis.
BB guns are used fort target practice and can be used for pest control or hunting small game. They shoot metallic, spherical projectiles and can cause a nasty bruise on a human.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly an individual at whom Mensah is believed to have pointed the firearm.
