A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man from Hove following a two-car minor collision in Shoreham, which reportedly led to an altercation between the drivers. Police said the 75-year-old driver was driving a silver Honda CR-V on the A259 near Brooklands Park shortly before 4pm yesterday (Wednesday, 4) when he apparently clipped wing mirrors with a white Toyota Aygo. Officers said the driver of the Aygo then followed the Honda towards Shoreham, just west of the Saltings roundabout, where both vehicles stopped, and an altercation is reported to have taken place. Police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident to find out if the death of the driver was as a result of a medical episode or due to other actions. A 28-year-old man from Worthing remains in custody at this time after being arrested on suspicion of assault. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting Operation Appleton.
