A man has been arrested on suspicion of eight house burglaries across Hailsham. Police said the 33-year-old local man was arrested last Thursday (April, 2) morning in connection with a series of burglaries in the town spanning from February 10 to March 24. He was released under investigation while enquiries continue. Wealden Inspector Jon Gross said: "An arrest such as this provides a good opportunity to reassure communities. "The key message is that, despite it being an uncertain time for all, our capacity and capability to tackle crime is very much intact."
