A man was arrested on the roof of a Tesco Express store after breaking in and stealing scratch cards.
The shop's alarm was activated at the shop in Rectory Road just after 2am on Monday (Sept 5).
Police who arrived at the scene, could see a man inside "tampering with the till area".
Back-up was called for, including the dog unit, before they entered, climbing a ladder through an open loft hatch.
Once on the roof, they found the suspect and a Tesco bag full of scratch cards, which were recovered.
A 31-year-old man from Goring was arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on conditional bail until 17 October.
