Police on patrol in Ann Street in Brighton have arrested a man after they smelled what they believed to be cannabis outside a property.
Following a search, they found a significant amount of Class A drugs at the address and arrested an 18-year-old man from Bromley at the scene, for 'being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, Class A'.
Officers were also concerned that the address was being cuckooed. This is a term used when vulnerable people are exploited, their houses are taken over and used as a place from which to deal drugs. It is often a technique used by county lines gangs. The man has now been released on unconditional bail whilst investigations continue.
