Man breaks into room of elderly nursing home resident with dementia and steals from her

Police are looking for a man who sneaked into the room of an elderly nursing home resident, who suffers from dementia, in St Leonards and stole her handbag. Officers said the man got into Southdowns Nursing Home in Hollington Road via a side door, just after 11pm last Wednesday (September, 25). He walked into the bedroom of the 90-year-old resident and took her handbag. Officers have since described the act as a 'really despicable crime against a very vulnerable lady'. Police have now released a photo of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
