A man has been charged in connection with a knife-point robbery at the Ifield Drive Co-Op.
Police and armed officers attended the supermarket just before 8.30pm last Sunday.
No one was hurt in the incident and, since then, 43-year-old Craig baker of no fixed address has been arrested.
He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on November 16, charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon (a knife) in public.
He has since been remanded in custody to appear before Lewes Crown Court on 14 December for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
