A man was due in court today (August 19) charged with an offence connected to dealing in cocaine.
According to police, officers from the Brighton Tactical Enforcement Unit became aware of a taxi, in suspicious circumstances, in Upper North Street in Brighton, at around 6pm on August 17.
Upon searching the passenger, police found he had about 30 wraps of suspected Class A drugs, and was carrying £700 cash.
Aldo Topjana, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine.
He was remanded in custody ahead of today's scheduled appearance before Brighton Magistrates’ Court.
Officers said the charge came about as a result of "proactive policing work" in the city.
