A 56-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman who died following a fire at a flat in Crawley last year. Emergency services were called to a fire at a property in Warren Drive on the evening of July 11 last year. Marie Toulsee, aged 53, of Tussock Close, Crawley, was given CPR by paramedics but died at the scene. Two men, who were inside the property, were arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation. In light of new evidence, Louise Navarre, 56, a cleaner, of Blackwater Lane, Crawley, was re-arrested yesterday (November, 7) and subsequently charged with the offence. Police said he will appear at Lewes Crown Court on November 11. The second suspect, a 38-year-old man, was released without charge and will face no further action.
