A man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Rotherfield last week. Police said the body of the victim, a woman in her 50s, was discovered in a property in Court Meadow Close on Wednesday (December, 18). Jayesh Gobar, 35, of Moorland Road in Crawley, appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court this morning (Monday, 23). Police said he is next due to appear at Lewes Crown Court tomorrow (Tuesday, 24). A second man, a 37-year-old from Crawley, arrested on suspicion of murder was released without charge.
