James Robus, 31, of All Saints Crescent, Hastings, has been found not guilty of three charges in relation to an assault on a woman on the West Hill in Hastings.
Sussex Police said he had been charged with attempted robbery, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
But a jury at Lewes Crown Court acquitted him of all three charges.
The verdicts came after a week-long trial ending on Friday December 11.
The charges related to an assault around 9.30pm on December 27, 2019, in which a woman suffered serious facial injuries.
