One of the men who jumped off Brighton Palace Pier on Sunday, August 28th has died in hospital.
There was a multi-agency response to the incident, that saw emergency services at the scene, including, police, ambulance, lifeboat, lifeguards and coastguards.
The water was reported to have been at low tide at the time they jumped, estimated at being just over a meter deep.
One of the men was unconscious and unresponsive when he was reached by beach lifeguards
Emergency services were seen to be him CPR for some time following his rescue from the sea.
Police have now confirmed his life support was turned off and he died on September 7.
