A vehicle stopped by police in Hailsham has been found with an estimated street value of £100,000 worth of Class B drugs in the boot. Officers seized the drugs during the early hours of Thursday morning (January, 9). 39-year-old James Elliot, unemployed, of Hedley Way, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class B drug (Amphetamine). He was remanded in custody for sentencing at a later date. A local 31-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug (Amphetamine). She was also arrested on suspicion of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance. She was released under investigation pending further enquiries.
