A man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree on the A22 Lewes Road at Forest Row. Emergency services were called to the scene between Forest Row and Ashurstwood shortly before 1am, while the A22 was closed until 5.50am. Police said the car involved, a silver Kia Picanto, was travelling towards East Grinstead when it collided with a tree. Officers said the driver, a 46-year-old man, died at the scene.
