A man who was found with serious head injuries in a street in Bognor this morning (Wednesday, 4) may have been the victim of an assault, according to police. Officers said they were called to Greenwood Avenue around 7.15am by paramedics after they were called to a report of an unconscious man. Police said he was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he was treated for head injuries. He has since been identified as a 40-year-old local man, according to the force, but it is not clear how he was injured. He is described as white, of a medium build, with dark hair and was wearing a brown jacket. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 182 of 04/12.
