Man Reportedly Robbed Of Belongings In His Own Car In Eastbourne

A man, who reportedly got into another man's car and then proceeded to threaten and rob him, is being sought by police.

The robbery is said to have taken place in the victim’s stationary vehicle on the junction of Wartling Road and Winchelsea Road, Eastbourne, at around 11.15pm on Monday (February 1).

The victim was resting in his car after going for a run in Princes Park, when a man got into his car and demanded all of his items, claiming he had a knife. The knife was not seen.  

The man, who is described as white, between 19 and 22 years old and around 6ft tall, made off with car keys, jacket, and an IPhone 11.

He was wearing a grey beanie and a thin black waterproof jacket and was accompanied by two women.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw the individuals described on Monday night.

Those who have relevant CCTV or door-bell footage are also encouraged to get in touch.
