Man Suffered Broken Skull And Jaw In Hastings Street Fight

Investigations have stepped up into a night-time street fight in Hastings that left a man with a broken skull and jaw.

Police say two men were attacking each other in a pedestrianised area of Robertson Street, between HSBC bank and Yates bar, at around 3am on July 25th.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray, assault on a restrained male and assaulting a police officer.

A 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of affray and assault on a restrained male.

It has since been established that one of the men suffered a fractured jaw and skull in the altercation.
