Man wanted on recall to prison found by police after boastful videos on social media using Queen song

A man wanted on recall to prison has been found and put back behind bars by police in East Sussex after he boasted about evading the law through a series of social media videos. James French, 31, of no fixed address, was released from Rochester prison last month, where he had been serving a ten month sentence for motoring offences earlier this year. However, his licence was revoked on September 24 and French took to posting short videos on Instagram, taunting police. Officers said his chosen soundtrack for the clips was 'I Want To Break Free' by Queen. According to police, French made a 'crucial' error in one of his boastful selfies, as officers spotted a large key fob showing the name of a hotel and room number where he was hiding. He was arrested after members of the East Sussex Prevention Enforcement Team attended the hotel. Inspector Mark Rosser said: "It was great work by the team, whose patience paid off when they ended his dream of breaking free. "I suppose you could say it was a case of Another One Bites The Dust."
