Mark Brown, Charged With The Murder Of Two Women From Sussex And Kent, Now Giving Evidence At Trial In Hove

The man accused of murdering Leah Ware and Alexandra Morgan, appeared at Hove Crown Court yesterday (Nov 10) to give evidence in his defence.

Kent mother-of-two Alexandra Morgan, 34, was last seen at a petrol station in Cranbrook on November 14th, 2021.

Mark Brown, 40, of Squirrel Close, St Leonards, was charged on 28 November 2021 with the her murder.

Police began enquiries to find 33-year-old Leah Ware from Hastings in November after her family reported she hadn't been in contact with them or any friends for some time.

On Tuesday, February 1, Brown was further charged with her murder, on or around May 7th 2021.

He appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Friday 4 February 2022 where he pleaded not guilty to Morgan's murder. 

Brown continues to deny both charges of murder.

The case began at Hove Crown Court three weeks ago with the prosecution taking just over three weeks to present their evidence.

The trial now continues as the defence presents its case.
