The funeral service of a police sergeant, and former head coach at East Grinstead Rugby Club, who was shot dead by a suspect in a custody centre will be live-streamed today (Wednesday).
Matt Ratana, 54 and originally from New Zealand, died from a gunshot wound on September 25, and was only a few months away from retirement.
Led by the Senior Chaplain at the force, the service will be available to watch on the Metropolitan Police's social media pages at 11.30am this morning.
Other notables will attend the service this morning, including the Reverand Prebendary Jonathan Osborne MBE, Maori speaker the Venerable Jo Kelly-Moore, and the Archdeacon of Canterbury.
Family, friends, and colleagues are expected to attend the funeral, with members of East Grinstead Rugby Club - where Matt was a coach - also expected to attend.
