A car seller in Haywards Heath very nearly lost out on a lot of money on Wednesday (March 3) when a buyer tried to pay with fake £50 notes.
Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor said the fraudster had mixed in the fake notes with real ones.
