A man who was reported missing has died after being spotted in the water at Pevensey Bay. Officers received a report of concern for the welfare of a man who had gone missing at around 4.30am yesterday (Sunday, 9). HM Coastguard recovered a body from the water at around 7am and CPR was performed at the scene. The man died a short time later at the Eastbourne District Hospital. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and the coroner's officer was informed.
