Drivers on the A24 yesterday afternoon, described a two-hour wait as emergency services worked to contain several cows after a trailer overturned on the road.
Police, the fire service, rescue teams and the Wildlife Trust attended the scene, which Adur & Worthing police say was a 'collision' on the A24 in Washington between the Findon and Washington roundabouts.
The road was closed, for a time, in both directions, taking around two hours to reopen.
Police say no one was arrested and no injuries have been reported.
