The ASLEF union have announced that strike action will take place this Saturday (September 30) and next Wednesday, October 4 - an overtime ban will also be in force.
No Thameslink, Great Northern or Gatwick Express services will run on these days.
A limited Southern service will run, calling at Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only.
There will also be a ban on overtime on:
- Friday, September 29
- Monday, October 2 until Friday, October 6 (inclusive).
An amended timetable with fewer services will run on these days. Services will be busier than usual, especially in peak hours.

London Underground will also be affected by strike action on the following dates:
- Wednesday, October 4

GATWICK SERVICES
There will an extremely limited train service to and from Gatwick Airport on:

Wednesday, October 4
This service will ONLY be a shuttle directly between Gatwick and London Victoria.
Limited trains will only run from 05:50 – 23:00
