More Than 1.3m Anti-Coronavirus Jabs Now Given In Sussex

Information on April 29 from the Sussex Health And Care Partnership

New information from the NHS shows the total number of vaccine treatments against the coronavirus dispensed in Sussex has risen to 1,314,464 doses.

That's according to the Sussex Health and Care Partnership — an organising representing the NHS in the county along with all local councils.

The figures, covering up to April 25, though published only now, show that the total of vaccinations in the county for the last week alone is 25,636 first doses, and 85,468 second doses.

The group says it met the government's target of offering an appointment to everyone in priority groups 1 to 9 by mid-April.

Today, everyone aged 40 and over has become eligible for the vaccine, a change in policy that had not been announced when the Sussex Health and Care Partnership prepared its infographic (above) yesterday, April 29.
