Motorcyclist, 17, Suffers Life-Threatening Injury In Brighton Collision

A teenage motorcycle rider has been taken to hospital with a life-threatening head injury, after a collision with a car in Brighton early on Saturday evening (August 14).

The crash happened at around 5.30pm in the city's Wilson Avenue.

Police said the the incident involved a grey BMW X5 and a black Keeway motorcycle being ridden by a 17-year-old boy from Croydon.

The car driver, a 42-year-old woman, was uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours for investigation and recovery work.

Sergeant Vicki Rees said:

“We are investigating a serious collision.

"Both vehicles were travelling south when the collision occurred.

"We want to hear from anyone who witnessed it or has any dash cam or CCTV footage of the incident.”
