Motorcyclist dies after colliding with deer before falling into path of car

A 66-year-old motorcyclist has died after he collided with a deer near Cowden, before falling into the path of an oncoming car. The victim, from Sevenoaks in Kent, was riding a Triumph Tiger Sport which collided with the deer around 8.40pm last night (Tuesday, 27). Police said this caused him to fall from his vehicle into the path of an oncoming Land Rover Defender, which resulted in fatal injuries. Officers said the driver, a 34-year-old man from Crowborough, was uninjured. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or either of the vehicles being driven in the area beforehand, in particular anyone who may have dash cam footage. Anyone with information is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting Operation Bursar.
