Motorcyclist dies after collision with four-wheel-drive car in Sussex

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a vehicle on the A29 at Broadbridge Heath on Saturday afternoon (14 September). Officers said the victim, a 39 year-old man from Surrey, sustained fatal injuries in the crash on the A29 Bognor Road at Broadbridge Heath, just before 1.40pm. The incident involved the rider's black Kawasaki colliding with a blue 4x4 jeep near the junction of Rowhook Road. Police said it is believed the victim was travelling south on the A29 with at least one other motorcycle, a blue Yamaha. Emergency services kept a section of the road closed until about 8pm. A witness appeal has begun, with officers asking that information or relevant dash-cam footage should be sent to collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting "Operation Yorkhill". No other injuries were reported, and police said the victim's next of kin have been informed of his death.
