Newhaven paramedic living in campervan to protect family from Covid-19

A SECAmb paramedic has been living in a campervan to help protect his family from coronavirus.

28-year-old Danny Hughes from Newhaven has been dealing with Covid-19 patients daily, often overrunning 12-hour shifts and putting in overtime.

The RAF veteran reportedly made the move when a member of the household became symptomatic in his absence, so he could continue his work.

He then decided to continue living there in order to protect his family, as having no symptoms does not mean he cannot pass the virus on to his family.

The ambulance service is incredibly busy at this time and the public are advised to stay home to save lives and protect the NHS.
